Grenada Lake Medical Center / Business & Community Health

Grenada Lake Medical Center’s Business and Community Health Department exists in order to help meet the health needs of the community and members of the business and industry world.  Each year a variety of health screenings are offered free of charge or at a reduced price in order to promote early detection of what could be a serious problem.  For example, each year GLMC plans health fairs where free glucose and skin cancer screenings are offered to the community.  We also offer $5.00 cholesterol checks and reduced price mammograms at these health fairs.  In the Spring of 2001 glaucoma and bone density checks were offered free of charge.  CPR and First Aid classes are also offered throughout the year for those who would like to become certified.

For the business community GLMC often goes on-site to teach CPR/First Aid  classes or to offer various types of screenings.  These include, but are not limited to, cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and prostate screenings.  GLMC also offers flu shots to the industries and schools in our area for a minimal fee.

Grenada Lake Medical Center also sponsors quarterly Business and Industry Luncheons.  Business owners, plant presidents, human resources directors, and plant nurses are invited to a luncheon to hear lectures on topics relevant to the business community.  This is a great time for business leaders to get together to discuss the issues that pertain to them.

Grenada Lake Medical Center strives to assist the business and industry world by helping to achieve a healthier workforce through various screenings all free or at a reduced price.  If you have any questions regarding services GLMC provides to the community or industry, please call 227-7197 or email Kim Sellars.
